Community Outreach

Quilted EMbraceEach year the guild selects a Charity to support. This year we will be embracing our residents of nursing homes/facilities through a program called Quilted EMbrace. We will make wheelchair quilts 36" by 48". All quilts will go to local nursing homes. Kits to complete a quilt will be available each month or you are welcome to use your own fabrics. Labels will also be available. More information (and kits!) at the January meetingCheck the Community Outreach page for more information, or contact Karen Kendo directly or through the contact page.

Block of the Month 2018

Block of the MonthWe will be changing the BOM a bit this year....There will be twelve sampler blocks, thirteen "setting" blocks, a border, and TWO-COLOR WAYS to choose from. Each month you will receive a block and a setting block. Month 6 you will receive a block plus two setting blocks. Month 12 you will receive a block, setting block, and border fabric. All block parts will be pre-cut using the Accuquilt dies. It goes together like a dream. You MUST SIGN UP in order to participate. There will not be any extra blocks or drawings for blocks. Cost per month is $6. We are asking that you prepay at least by the quarter. So $18 every three months, or $36 twice (six months) or $72 for a onetime payment.

President's Challenge

Each year the guild president challenges the guild to creat a unique quilt based on a set of guide lines. In 2017, we were directed to create a quilt based on a song from the 60's, 70's or 80's! Check out the President's Challenge page for all the details.
