April Sunflower Mantra: BE THE SUNFLOWER THAT’S STRONG & BOLD AND TRUE TO HERSELF! REACH FOR THE SUN EVEN ON RAINY AND CLOUDY DAYS!
- The 2024 Cobblestone Quilt Show has come to an end. I want to thank all the Show Committee members and the volunteers for making this a memorable display of quilts and vendor wares! Congratulations to all that won ribbons and all of you for sharing your creative designs. It was AWESOME! And I am excited for the next show!
- Remember to bring 12 and ½ inch patriotic blocks to receive a free raffle ticket. It was amazing to see the emotion during the Quilt Show Presentation of Quilts of Valor. We were all touched to see the heartwarming response of the recipients of the quilts. So, let’s continue to bring joy and love to those who have served and sacrificed for our country!!!
- Sunflower Guild challenge is ongoing until the November meeting. You can use any medium to make a sunflower themed item. They will be put into categories and the winner in each category will be awarded a prize.
- Mastectomy Pillows…don’t forget to make these heart-shaped pillows to be given to mastectomy patients. Patterns were handed out at the March meeting. If you need a pattern, just let us know. Thanks for your generosity in advance.
- OPEN SEW…you can still spend the afternoon after the meeting sewing, even if you are not taking a class. Come sew, socialize and have a fun afternoon in a classroom down the hall. Sew on UFO’s, block of the month or any project!
- Thank you to Debbie and Kim for an entertaining and informative presentation on Wild & Wooly Shop in Mount Pleasant. And to Donna Bozeman for a wonderful class on Rope Bowls.
I hear such great comments about Cobblestone members regarding our friendliness, welcoming and positive attitude and helpfulness. How can we not be proud to be part of such a group! I am proud and humbled!!!! See you in April.
