Julie Sander says………Thanks to everyone who joined us for our March program with Amy Southerland and virtual sew-in on Saturday! I hope you had as much fun as I did.
April 8, 2021 – At our April meeting, our own Sue Schwab will be presenting her amazing Missouri Star (BLOCK magazine) trunk show. You do not want to miss this meeting. Sue is one of our most prolific quilters, and it is going to be a really fun meeting!
May 13, 2021 – Excitement is building for our May meeting when quilt historian, Barbara Brackman, will present a special program designed just for our guild entitled “Charleston Quilts: The View from Here.”
June 10, 2021 – 2022 Quilt Show Kickoff Meeting!
July 8, 2021 – At July’s meeting, Sulky will be giving a presentation on all of their products. On Friday, July 9th, we will have a workshop making the “Pumpkin Market Tote.” Sulky has indicated that they will be sending an updated photo of the project. The kit is reasonably priced and just in time to make it before Fall!
August 12, 2021 – Jennifer Ley (a beloved former member of our guild) will be giving a presentation “How My Fiber Hobby Took Over My Life!” She will give us a video tour of her farm, animals, and her business operation, and she will also be joining us live on the Zoom to answer our questions.
September 9, 2021 – Our Vice President, June Bohac, will be presenting a trunk show of some of her amazing (and award-winning quilts) at our September meeting. I have always admired June’s beautiful quilts, so this is going to be an inspiring trunk show to see!
October 14, 2021 – At our October meeting, we are going to have video tours of the studios/sewing rooms of several members of our guild. Please contact me to volunteer to do a video of your sewing space. Whether you have a small sewing space with great organizational ideas or a newly designed sewing studio, we’d love to get a peek inside!
November 11, 2021 – We have just booked Barb Eikmeier to present a program “It’s All in the Sashings!” at our November meeting. As we’re hopefully all working on the quilts that we would like to enter into our quilt show, new ideas on sashings seemed to be perfect timing.
